CAREER OPTIONS FOR COMMERCE STUDENTS AFTER 12:

Passed twelfth with commerce and confused about what to do next. Don't worry, here I wrote up some of the most chosen up and demanding courses of commerce stream.

Please mind no course is good or bad it just depends on how you will gonna take interest in that. I will suggest you take up that course which you think can do without getting bored up. Every course has its own advantages so do not compare those with salaries and find out a course which is perfect according to your potential.

LIST OF COURSES:

1) C.A (CHARTED ACCOUNTANT)

CA is a 5-year professional course. you don't need to go to any college to pursue CA. All the events of CA are conducted by ICAI.

ELIGIBILITY: Class 12th stream and minimum percentage are not specified. Student of any stream either medical, arts or non-medical can do CA. But it is mostly done by commerce students because it is related to commerce. It does not a high percentage in class 12, you just need passing marks in 12 to do CA.

COURSE INFORMATION:
CA has three levels:

1.CPT(CA FOUNDATION)
It is the entrance exam which can be given just after passing twelfth. It is conducted by ICAI. The exam of CPT is held two times in a year, first in June and second in December.

SUBJECTS:-
1.ACCOUNTANCY
2.MATHEMATICS
3.ECONOMICS
4.LAW
To clear the entrance you have to score at least 50% aggregate and 30% in each subject.

2.IPCC(CA INTERMEDIATE)
After clearing CPT second exam is IPCC. The paper of IPCC is divided into two groups. 
GROUP 1:- 4 Subjects 
GROUP 2:- 3 Subjects
You can either both group simultaneously in one sitting or you can give the first group in one attempt and second in another.

3.CA FINAL
After IPCC you have to do 3-year training I.e also called as Articleship.
After completing your training you can give CA final and after clearing this will be a certified CA.

2) B.COM(Bachelor of commerce)

It is one of the trending courses in India. It is a 3-year course which gives you a bachelor degree in commerce.
You can do B.COM with maths or without maths.
You can also do B.COM in regular or by correspondence. By doing this with correspondence you can take coaching for CA or CS.
If you do B.COM in regular then after this you can do a Masters degree in commerce or also you can go for MBA.

3) BBA(Bachelor of businesses administration)

It is a bachelor's degree in business administration. It is a 3-year undergraduate degree course. It also can be done in regular or correspondence.

ELIGIBILITY:-
1. You have to be a 12th pass.
2. English is a compulsory subject taken in12th.
3. Minimum percentage in 12th should be 50-60% ( depends on universities)

After BBA you have to do an MBA to get high paid jobs because BBA is a bachelor's degree.


4) CS (COMPANY SECRETARY)

It is also a professional course like CA.
ELIGIBILITY: You have to be just twelfth pass, no stream of class 12 and percentage matters for CS. 

COURSE INFORMATION:
Like CA it also has three levels.

1.FOUNDATION:- It is the entrance exam. It has four papers taken in two days, two subjects in one day.

2.EXECUTIVE: It the intermediate exam. It has 8 papers. After clearing this you have to do two pieces of training of 15 days each and a long term training of 24 months.

3.PROFESSIONAL: It is the final exam. After clearing this you will a certified CS.

5) BCA(Bachelor of computer and applications)

It is a 3-year undergraduate degree course. After pursuing BCA you can make your career in computer applications, web designing or software developing.
After doing BCA you have to masters in computer application to get better-paid jobs software companies.

ELIGIBILITY: Class 12 stream does not matter in this course. Student of any stream can do this.
Percentage of class twelfth is seen at the time of admission, it varies in different universities.

6) BHM( Bachelor of hotel management)

Hotel management is one of the most demanding fields at present.
The duration of this course is 3/4 years In some universities, it is for 3 years and in some, it is for 4 years.

ELIGIBILITY:-
You have to be twelfth pass to pursue this course. The minimum percentage in the twelfth class should be 55-80%, it varies according to different universities.
You can take admission through entrance exam or on the base If 12th percentage, here also it varies according to universities.

After BHM you can do MHM or MBA in hotel management or event management and can make your career as a chef, event manager or hotel manager.
